8h of Albacete: YART crossed the line in 21th spot
The second round of the 2010 Endurance World Championship at Albacete startet with some serious drama in Lap 4, as an oil patch sent many machines on the ground, including the leader, SERT, battling with YART, Honda BMP Elf 99, GMT 94,Sapeurs Pompiers and QERT1.
Gwen Giabbani had to push the damaged bike back from the other side of the track, so YART lost 15 laps. In the second stint, Steve Martin was fastest on track but then he crashed, again due to oil.
After the half of the race, YART was at position 30 overall / 12th in EWC. At 2:00am CET YART finished the 8h of Albacete at position 21 overall / 9th in EWC.
Bolliger is now leading the championship with 38 points in front of YART with 36 points.
